Winton School asked us to make them a clearer and more inviting entranceway.
We involved every class in the school in the process. They designed patterns for the new gates and an exhibition of their work was held in the main hall alongside drawings showing what the new entranceway would look like.
Many of the pupils' patterns were laser-cut into the stainless steel gate panels. The name WINTON was sandblasted in 1m high letters along the length of the boundary wall leading up to the new gates. The letter 'O' was made of brass and became the door handle for the gateway.
